This is the second part to the epic interview with Kasper Beaumont

Kasper and a fan dressed as Sienna the Huntress

Any fun facts about you that we do not know?

I have grazed knees from bodyboarding in the surf. I love to ride the waves all the way into the shore and pay for it later. Surfer chick.

List your top ten memorable books.

1.2.3. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

4. The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay.

5.6.7. The River God trilogy by Wilbur Smith

8. I’m running out of numbers so will put the Belgariad series by David Eddings as one.

9. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

10. Star Wars by George Lucas (not that I read it, so much as watch it, but it really is a classic story).

Oh no, I’ve run out already! That was a hard question.

Who is your favorite character you have written?

Asher the shapeshifter. He’s a great fighter and leader. I love the way he settles disputes with flames and knives (don’t try this at home, kiddies).

Who is your least favorite character you have written?

Oh, good question. I would say the deliciously cruel and vindictive Hydra who betrays the dragons. I don’t think anyone is going to love her.

What is your style of writing (free flowing, planned, mixture)?

Free flowing for sure. I like to have a vague idea where we are going, but sometimes it turns out completely and brilliantly different to what I envisaged.

What music do you listen to when you write?

At the moment I have the tennis on the TV. Usually I like classics such as Dire Straits, Pink Floyd or the radio. My faves at the moment are Bruno Mars and Pink, although I don’t buy albums often.

What is your routine when you write?

My hardest part is removing distractions like social media, so I like to escape to the cubby house or a long bath with my scrapbook. I’m a fan of the very rough draft. Sometimes I draw pictures and maps for myself. I keep a document with all the relevant descriptions, back story and info about all the characters.

How do you combat distractions when writing?
